For one of the World’s leading security risk intelligence companies; we are looking for an entrepreneurial commercial Sales Director with experience in selling services to C-level decision makers at major and global companies.
Risk Intelligence specialises in analysing threats from and interaction between piracy, organised crime, terrorism, insurgency and military conflicts since 2001. We advise more than 12% of the World fleet on prevention of maritime security incidents at both the vessel and company level. Additionally, we provide maritime security analysis to private and governmental organisations.
Risk Intelligence strives to be a security partner to our clients in order to proactively address and advise clients on security related activities that may support commercial opportunities. We believe that a thorough understanding of the threats in combination with insight to our clients’ needs enables us to produce high quality threat and risk assessments and consulting services that are tailored to clients’ operations.

The Sales Director leads, manages and takes accountability for an aggressive growth through new customer acquisition and recurring revenue contracts.
Your team will consist of three sales people and a Sales Lead Generation Team of two people supporting the sales with well qualified leads. The Sales Lead Generation Manager is responsible for lead generation and marketing; thus, you will have the overall responsibility and control of the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing the sales – and the customer retention. The sales team is expected to grow over the next couple of years to 6 sales people.
The potential customers are companies in the Maritime industry and suppliers to the Maritime industry globally, which you and your team will engage top down from C-level to offer Risk Intelligence’s unique advisory services.
The ideal candidate
Is an internationally experienced sales person who can both develop and manage a sales team (and a sales process) and be responsible for own accounts. The right person understands and analyses data from the sales process in order to optimize and develop the commercial side. Knowledge of Salesforce.com sales model, is preferable, but not a demand.
Proven experience as commercial director or other relevant role selling advisory services e.g. information and analysis services or risk consultancy or other related services. Proven experience and track record in solution sales and in managing a successful sales organization. Experience in the maritime or shipping industry would be an advantage.
Strong commercial awareness and solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes. Excellent organisational and leadership skills. Outstanding communication skills.
You are expected to be fluent in English (native or high proficiency) with preferably one more major European language.
Good interpersonal abilities, especially in the field of sales, as you are expected to manage and develop selected accounts.
