JGH Group’s global Solar business is growing, and they need an experienced Operations Manager to support their Solar projects commercially from contracting to final hand-over by liaising between the customer, JGH Group and its subcontractors to ensure the smoothest possible customer experience.

JGH Solar is a department within the JGH Group, and is specialized in designing, supplying, and installing solar power systems in remote locations all over the world. They work with public tenders for solar PV projects in developing countries, mainly in sub-Saharan Africa funded by development agencies, such as UNDP, UNOPS and World Bank, and develop solar projects from scratch up to utility scale.

The Operations Manager reports to the Chief Operating Officer of the Solar division and is responsible for the commercial implementation of new Solar PV projects in close corporation with the technical team leader, who manages the technical implementation of the projects.
The Operations Manager will together with 1-2 employees (Coordinators) manage full EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) client contracts, including all communication, change requests, unforeseen events etc. between the customer, the technical team leader, and the involved subcontractors and manufacturers.
The role is customer centric and requires a high level of interaction with the customers and other stakeholders through meetings and other means of communication to deliver the best possible customer experience. Expected travel time is around 50-60 days per year.
The ideal candidate
You have bachelor or higher degree in International Business or Engineering with at least 3-4 years of project management and implementation of Solar projects internationally.

- Experience from working in a multicultural environment and managing stakeholders
- Experience in managing and working in a small team, solving complex problems with professionalism and optimism
- Fluency in the English language
- Additional considerations (nice to have):
- Experience from working in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Experience in doing business with the UN
- Fluency in the French language
- Experience with international procurement
- Experience with Incoterms (ICC)
