We are looking for a Service Engineer to our customer Prima Power.
The company is a part of the Prima Industrie and FINNPOWER group, who is a leading global provider of a wide range of sheet metal processing machines and systems that covers all steps of sheet metal working: laser cutting, punching, combined punch/shear and puch/laserm bending and automation.

Prima Industrie and FINNPOWER were both founded app. 50 years ago, and the customers are found amongst own manufacturers and subcontractors within the metal industry, who use the complete program of highly advanced servo-electric solutions for punching, bending and integrated processes, the widest in the world, marketed under the slogan “Energy in Efficient Use”.
Prima Power is the undisputed leader in 3D laser machines, and is among main world players in the 2D laser segment with a wide range of top performance and highly efficient machines used in a multitude of fields all around the globe.
Prima Power’s Danish headquarter is in Langå, and has 4 employees, planning to expand over the coming 5 years.
You will be located at the customers all over Denmark, working from your own home.
The Service Engineer will be reporting to the Service Coordinator of Prima Power Denmark, Søren Nielsen, working collaboratively with the other team members to provide corrective and preventive maintenance services to customers in Denmark and possibly other countries.
The purpose of this role is fulfill advanced and independent trouble shooting on the full product range, and advising customers on production process improvement. Also it will be necessary to retrofit machines and to provide phone and teleservice support to the customers. The position also contains giving machine training to the customers, and installing or disassembling machines of the whole product range.
A broad role requiring a skilled technician/specialist, who can represent Prima Power in a helpful, professional and qualitative manner at all times with both customers and colleagues, offering advanced and independent trouble shooting, job training and technical assistance for service engineers, and performing advanced preventive maintenance tasks independently.
The ideal candidate has a relevant background within automation or machinery, having a relevant education as a Technicial/Engineer of Machine- ,Electronics or Automation and preferably 3-4+ years of experience from a similar position.
The Service Engineer has the skill and is motivated by keeping a dialogue with the R&D department about retrofits and improvements, following the Corporate Safety Regulations and the provided training programmes.
Also it will be necessary to inform the coordinator about use of “in car” stock parts, reporting working hours and expenses and sending weekly service reports in relation to global support service and to the coordinator.
You have experience in working independently and feel pride representing the company and taking care of company property. You strive to work effectively both as part of a team or autonomously, have strong communication skills in Danish and English (written and verbal).
You have a high level of personal drive and self-motivation, always committed to meeting customer needs and willingness and courage to learn new things.
- Relevant qualification in Electronics, Engineering or a related field
- of 3-4 years demonstrated experience in a similar role (desirable)
- Knowledge of company technical software (Siemens HMI, Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff Twincat and frequency controllers software etc.)
- Ability to trace failures and to back up, restore and update parameters
- Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Ability to rapidly grasp technical solutions, concepts and products
- Electronical know how
